Like many of you, I am yet to define my attitude toward voyeur photography. My wife and i are quite comfortable with a thought of being caught nude anywhere, but I am still uncertain about taking voyeur shots by myself. There is no good you shoot someone (no matter related or a stranger, nude or not) without clearly expressed permission. It is getting worse when you yourself become the subject of stealth shooting and, say, after some time come across your images somewhere in the web. In fact, you never know when a spy cam works :) But what is really bad about it? Nothing bad … if you're happy with your appearance and what you are doing in front of a spy cam. I think our anxious concern about our personal identity and privacy is somewhat exaggerated, it is almost impossible keeping your privacy intact in our heavily digitized age …The images below were taken on Koktebel nudist beach (44°57'N 35°15'E) last summer. All girls are known to me (hope one of them looks quite familiar to you either). Actually i was not going to shoot them but eventually the temptation took over me and i decided to capture the scene in voyeur mode (got some posed but the girls at ease are most valuable). Well, voyeur mode … you know, guys, the most hidden cam is the one right in front of your eyes. I just mounted my cam on the tripod and took some nasty seascape shots from different points (i hate seascapes, they are all the same :)), then i turned the cam in the opposite direction, blindly framing the girls in, covered it with a towel (direct sunlight can damage your cam :)), left it stood by and we all happily went swimming … after a while everyone forgot about the cam standing on the tripod but not me, i sneakily took out my cam remote control and started shooting … i repeated the trick several times as i needed to check the results and reposition the cam to achieve some acceptable shots … be smiling, artfully yours, veiiia :)
